Cristina Amor

She obtained her BSc in Biology in 2022 and her MSc in Bioinformatics in 2023, both at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain). During her career, she has applied bioinformatics and genomics to study a variety of biological systems, addressing topics ranging from the metagenomics analysis of ancient human remains to the detection of selection signals and the study of adaptation in diverse organisms.

 

At CREAF, she is a research technician in Oriol Lapiedra’s lab, where she focuses on the evolutionary effects of invasive species introductions, with a particular emphasis on genomics analysis within the insular system of Ibiza.

 

Her field of study includes evolutionary genomics,  genetics and molecular ecology.
